Review TvSeries: Intelligence [2014]

Creator : Michael Seitzman
Stars : Josh Holloway, Meghan Ory, Michael Rady
Genre : Action-Drama
Premiere Date : January 7, 2014
Plot : A dramatic thriller starring Josh Holloway as a high-tech intelligence operative enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his brain. With this implant, Gabriel is the first human ever to be connected directly into the worldwide information grid and have complete access to Internet, WiFi, telephone and satellite data. He can hack into any data center and access key intel in the fight to protect the United States from its enemies. Leading the elite government cyber-security agency created to support him is Director Lillian Strand, a straightforward and efficient boss who oversees the unit’s missions. Strand assigns Riley Neal, a Secret Service agent, to protect Gabriel from outside threats, as well as from his appetite for reckless, unpredictable behavior and disregard for protocol.

My (Honest) Review : So I watched the pilot and I'm not impressed. This show centered about an ex soldier who have microchip implant in his head. Hence, he has connection directly to the information grid like internet, wi-fi, database, satellite, etc. I was expecting to see a person that was privileged with intellect over emotions. Yet we got a run down version of a cop show with still images from a macho man's mind (with a bit (or lot?) sentimental touch about his wife). Then another chick which described as a super-qualified secret service agent hired to protect him, but looking from the pilot episode, looks like he can take care of himself pretty well.
"I'm an ex soldier. I have super brain. Would you take a bullet for me, girl?"
To conclude, the pilot was just way too rushed. Too much going on, too many cliches, and the pilot is supposed to wet your appetite where it failed to do so (for me anyway). Couldn't resist... and on that note, I'm outta here *drops the mic*

PS. Liked it better when it was called, 'CHUCK'! :p
