Review:
I started watching it because the show and its lead actor, Andy Samberg won Golden Globe this year. I thought, "yeah 2 golden globes, gotta give it a go.." And after watching the pilot, wow! This is one of the best show ever created!

When watching this show, I was giggling to myself all the time. That is what comedy is supposed to be, not logically developed story and characters. Enjoyable. Brooklyn Nine Nine is funny and intriguing at the same time.

Andy Samberg as Detective Jake Peralta, one of comedian that charming just when he speaks *fan girling*
The lead actor, Andy Samberg is and will always be an amazing actor. I first saw him on Saturday Night Live. He often sing on parodic-musical scetch with actor/singer guest in SNL. He's so funny and charming at the same time. Samberg's charm, talented co-stars and a clever script make us forget we're watching things that could only happen in TV land.

I watch a lot of American cop shows like Criminal Minds and Castle, but as much as I love them, sometimes I feel like they're hugely unrealistic and over-dramatised. Brooklyn Nine-nine is a play on those kind of cop shows and it does it spectacularly. Also it even has a more realistic feel than the other cop shows.

While there have been a couple of sparks between characters, for the most part Brooklyn Nine-Nine has shied away from introducing romantic pairings. Instead, it has built up strong, platonic relationships between characters, with male and female colleagues who truly respect each other for their talent and their hard work. Though the detectives often bicker and fight, they have each other's back no matter what.

People who enjoy(ed) shows like Friends, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, etc. like me, will more likely than not find something to like about this show.

Obviously not everyone will appreciate it, but I strongly encourage those who are interested in watching it, to watch the entire pilot before making a full opinion :)

Happy watching,

Nisaa.
